WAIVER

I declare, confirm and agree as follows for myself and/or my ward, wherever applicable:

1. I confirm that all information provided by me during registration is true, complete and accurate, and I shall be solely responsible for the correctness of such information.
2. I confirm that I have carefully read, understood and agree to comply with the Event Rules & Guidelines, Medical Advisory, Privacy Policy, Data Protection Policy, Anti-Discrimination Policy and all other applicable policies governing the Event.
3. I acknowledge that participation in the Event is voluntary and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, permanent disability, death, accidents, weather conditions, road conditions, acts of other participants, spectators or third parties, and other unforeseen circumstances.
4. I understand that I participate entirely at my own risk and responsibility and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in the Event.
5. I confirm that I am, or my ward is, medically fit and physically capable of participating in the Event and have obtained all necessary medical advice or clearance from a registered medical practitioner before participating.
6. I undertake that I shall participate only on the officially designated Event route and shall comply with all instructions issued by Event officials, volunteers, law enforcement authorities and emergency personnel.
7. I agree to immediately discontinue participation if directed by Event officials or if I experience any illness, injury or medical condition that may endanger myself or others.
8. I authorize Event officials, medical personnel and emergency responders to administer or arrange any medical treatment or emergency assistance considered necessary during the Event. I understand that any associated medical or hospital expenses shall be my sole responsibility unless otherwise provided by applicable law.
9. I shall provide accurate and complete medical information whenever reasonably requested by Event officials for health, safety or emergency purposes.
10. To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, I hereby waive, release and discharge Sportiz, its group companies, affiliates, Event promoters, sponsors, partners, licensors, contractors, Event committee members, officials, volunteers, employees, agents and representatives from any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event, except where such liability arises from fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
11. I acknowledge that neither Sportiz nor any associated entity shall be liable for any illness, injury, disability, death, accident, loss or damage suffered by me or my ward arising from:
    • Any pre-existing medical condition;
    • Any medical condition that develops before, during or after the Event;
    • Communicable or infectious diseases;
    • Accidents occurring during participation;
    • Failure to follow Event instructions or safety protocols; or
    • Any other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Sportiz.
12. I further acknowledge that Sportiz shall not be liable for any cancellation, postponement, modification or disruption of the Event resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, governmental restrictions, civil disturbances, riots, strikes, terrorism, war or any other force majeure event.
13. I irrevocably authorize Sportiz to collect, process, use and share the information provided by me with its authorized service providers, partners and associated entities solely for purposes relating to the organization, administration and promotion of the Event and in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy.
14. I grant Sportiz an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to photograph, film, record, livestream and otherwise capture my or my ward's participation in the Event and to use, reproduce, publish, broadcast, distribute and archive such photographs, videos, audio recordings and other content for editorial, promotional, marketing, archival and commercial purposes relating to Sportiz and its Events without any further consent or compensation.
15. I consent to receiving Event-related communications, notifications and important updates through email, SMS, telephone calls, WhatsApp or any other communication channel using the contact details provided during registration.
16. Where I make a charitable donation during registration, I understand and agree that my relevant personal information may be shared with the designated charitable organization solely for the purpose of issuing donation receipts, acknowledgements and complying with applicable legal or accounting requirements.
17. I agree to conduct myself respectfully throughout the Event and to comply with the Anti-Discrimination Policy, safety protocols and all applicable laws. I understand that any misconduct, abusive behaviour, discrimination, harassment or violation of Event Rules & Guidelines may result in disqualification, removal from the Event or other disciplinary action without refund.
18. I acknowledge that I have read, understood and voluntarily accept the terms of this Waiver and agree to be legally bound by its provisions.
