As we are all set to host the 10th Edition of the JBG Kolkata Marathon, we’re adding a splash of colour, vibrancy and fun to the most loved run in the City of Joy!
Introducing for the first time ever – The Cosplay Run, where your imagination takes over the streets of Kolkata. This special category is all about celebrating fun, creativity, and the stories that will make us smile and WIN SPECIAL PRIZES
Whether you’re running the 5 KMs , this is your chance to dress up as your favourite cartoon, comic, or movie character and bring them to life on the roads of Kolkata. From Spiderman to Feluda, superheroes to patriotic icons – let your creativity shine!
Add your own twist, tell a story through your costume, and join hundreds of others in turning the Maidan and the city streets into a moving carnival of colours.

Register from our website, where in the registration form there is a separate category for Cosplay Run.

Walk the Cosplay Stage before your run and showcase your costume.

A joyful way to make the marathon even more memorable in its milestone year.

Participants can decide whether they want to run or walk the 5 km distance.

Judgement will be based on the creativity and theme of their costume, not on their completion time, unlike other categories.

Cosplay participants will need to report earlier at the venue (exact reporting time to be announced closer to the event).

A panel of special judges will evaluate the cosplay performances, and results will be declared on race day itself. The judges’ decision will be final.

How to Participate

Register for Cosplay Run of the JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025.

Limited on-ground registrations will be available at the Cosplay Run desk near the contest stage at Maidan on Race Day.

For on-ground registration, bring your Name, Mobile Number, and PAN card details (mandatory for prize disbursement).

Judging schedule and reporting time will be shared via email before Race Day.

All participants must start and finish their registered run category in costume to remain eligible for prizes.
